Before you come:
- WINTER: snow tires AND AWD or 4WD car/truck recommended (roads are hilly and can be snowy especially during a storm. A Prius with all season tires will NOT get up the hills during a storm.
- Be prepared for storms and bring extra food/supplies. (Pack a cooler with at least a days worth of food.)
- If you want, set your phone up for “wifi calling” BEFORE you come to Vermont. AT&T and Verizon both work well at the cabin, but service may be sketchy in the mountains and backroads, though.)
You should bring:
- Food, beverages, coffee, etc. (With the exception of a couple restaurants in Waitsfield, most ones nearby are closed Mondays and Tuesdays)
- Bathing suits (optional, but hot tub is usable year round)
- Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming service codes
- Flashlights/headlamps (we provide some, but may not be charged)
- Sunscreen, bug repellent
- Walking shoes/boots
- Rain gear
- Sweater/jackets (it’s cooler in the mountains)
- Snow pants (if winter)
- Firewood and newspaper/paper/cardboard for fire pit (there is some of wood on the property, but best to bring some dry wood with you)

- Also, be prepared for storms and bring extra food/supplies. Check the forecast before you come (see link on right of page). You don’t want to go out in a blizzard as even regular storms can make the roads impassable.
