Some of our favorite local places to visit:

Waitsfield Farmers Market, Waitsfield: Saturdays 9-1pm, May 13 into October. A great way to spend a Saturday morning sampling local, fresh food and picking up the finest goods/veggies for dinner later… dog friendly, too!
Rochester Farmers Market: Fridays, (3-6 June to October). Small, but great produce/meats, etc. and less pricey than Waitsfield.
BigTown Art Gallery, Rochester: Fabulous contemporary art work on display in a beautiful gallery and host to frequent guest readings/events.
Michael Egan Glassblowing, Granville: Watch local Vermonter Michael Egan as he forms and manipulates molten glass into beautiful works of art.

Granville Bowl Mill: Located in tiny Granville, beautiful wooden bowls and utensils made from local wood. Great gifts, reasonably priced.
The Little Red Barn, Rochester: Fun vintage items from $3 to $30
Sandy’s Books, Bakery and Bookery, Rochester: Terrific bakery, gifts and some great books throughout an eclectic and fun space.
Church Street Marketplace, Burlington: It’s fun to park, then spend the day walking around the center. Lots of great restaurants, shops and local flavors.
