Waitsfield Farmers Market, Waitsfield: Open Saturdays 9-1pm, May 16 into October. A great way to spend a Saturday morning sampling local, fresh food and picking up the finest goods/veggies for dinner later… Things are pretty much back to normal, post-Covid now, so relax and enjoy a fun scene full of people.

Rochester Farmers Market: Friday afternoons, 3-6pm. Open June 5 to October 9. Rochester’s Market & Exchange features local farm produce, products and meat, baked goods, crafts, art and more.

Sunshine Valley Berry Picking Fresh, organic berries just 10 mins away. It’s seasonal, so check website for hours.

Bethel Drive-In Theater An old school way to see a movie and just 30 minutes on the other side of Bethel Mt. Road. Easy way to socially distance and entertain the family. NOTE: Cash only, but you can bring your own snacks/drinks.

Sunset Ledge Hike: (1-2 hour RT, semi-easy hike, beautiful western views

Warren Swim Hole: Top ten in the US for swim holes and well deserved. Go early, though… it’s very popular!

Vermont River Tubing: Stockbridge 20 minutes away, fun 2-3 hr river rides. On a hot day, nothing is better, but make sure to get there before noon! Call 802-746-8450 for reservations

Sugarbush Zip Line: Fun for kids… big and small. Frisbee golf, too!

American Flatbread Pizza, Waitsfield: Fun summer or winter, but in the summer, you can sit outside with a beer or glass of wine. Kids can draw, run and play while you sit by a nice bonfire and relax. Very fun place, not to mention incredible pizza.

Burlington Church Street Marketplace: Vermont’s biggest town (200k) and home of UVM. You can spend a great day/afternoon/evening here meandering the giant pedestrian mall. It’s lined with many shops, pubs, and interesting stores, and is exceptionally dog friendly. Check for updates on Covid 19 policy and restrictions.

Shelburne Farms, Charlotte: Beautiful old estate on Lake Champlain overlooking the Adirondacks. Many fun events or just go stroll the grounds and enjoy a cocktail at sunset. It is a beautiful lawn with lots of trails to explore and take in great views of the lake and mountains!

Covered Bridge Tour: There are over 100 covered bridges in Vermont, so have fun and take a day to enjoy a little tour. Maybe plan so you end up at somewhere good to eat!

Waterfall Tour (Texas Falls, Bartlett Falls, Warren Falls, and Moss Glen Falls can all be seen in about a two hour loop.) Maybe stop in Middlebury or Bristol for lunch? And it’s a beautiful drive through the Green Mountains!
